Metal Amp Room Updated - Features Amp/Cab Bypass Options and Presets
Four months after the initial release of Metal Amp Room, an updated
version 1.1 has been released. The update is available for free for
existing users.
Bypass Amp or Cabinets
Have you ever wondered how Metal Amp Room would sound through
your real-life 4x12" without the built-in cab sims? Or how the cabinets alone sound on a piano
track? Well, you're not alone... By popular demand this feature is
now available in version 1.1!
Presets
To demonstrate the wide range of sounds in Metal Amp Room, we have
added our favorite office presets.

All Mac versions updated
All our plug-ins have been updated for Mac OS X due to a graphics framework
update. With this update our plug-ins will have better support for
some hosts. We have also taken
the opportunity to fix some minor bugs.
These changes should not affect the sound, unless it is
explicitly stated in the change logs.

Spring Reverb is an authentic spring reverb recreation that will
add vintage character and grit to any audio track. It
also includes novel features such as a fully automatable
Shake control that will shake the virtual strings around
for those thunderous spring effects, and a Tension
control that tightens or loosens the springs to cover a
wide range of spring reverb sounds.

Tube Delay is a marriage between analog and digital, combining the warmth and natural compression from tubes with the features and versatility of a digital delay. Softube Launches Metal Amp Room, the Most Aggressive Plug-In on
the Planet
Linköping, Sweden. June 5th 2008 - Softube is shipping the Metal
Amp Room plug-in for VST, AU and RTAS. Metal Amp Room is
available today at the Softube web shop ($199 excl. VAT).
Metal Amp Room was designed to bring you the most brutal, evil and
aggressive sound that is possible to squeeze out of your DAW. It was
co-developed with Patrik Jensen (The Haunted) and tailored to his
needs. The continuous mic placement from Vintage Amp Room is
back, but this time with twin mics with adjustable stereo panning. Get
a huge stereo sound with complex adjustable phasing effects, a plain
old one-mic-right-against-the-cone, or anything in between. The
cabinets were measured in the In Flames studio (previously known as
Studio Fredman) by Tue Madsen and Patrik Jensen.
Focusing on usability and sound quality, this is a plug-in that is proud
not to include a gazillion amps, effects racks, patch cords, or a blow-
dryer. Just two channels, two cabinets, two mics per cabinet, and a
